Gateway Community Church has been around for a while

I love Gateway Church. It’s been my church home since 2011. The family atmosphere, simple heartfelt worship, good solid preaching, prayer ministry for salvation and healing, vacation Bible school, monthly and weekly shared meals and fellowship. As a recent widow I have received practical support and help as needed.

I was first led to Hammond Gospel Mission in 1962 (now Gateway Community Church) by a family friend, Silas Jones when my husband’s ship went to war, and me with 5 kids would come to my parents in Warrenton for the summer and church. my husband retired from the Navy in 1970, and in ‘73 God told me to come here so I’ve obeyed him and stayed!

A bunch of them came looking for me because I was isolated and they came looking to see why I was missing. They helped me refocus. The impossible situation miraculously got fixed and I found that person I had asked God to help me find.
