It’s All About Jesus

Gateway Community Church exists to worship God, equip the saints and make disciples. We are a church of Jesus followers with over 20 years of experience learning how to have authentic relationship with Jesus, live in the presence of God and walk it out in everyday life.

  • Gateway Community Church has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. You can tell the congregation feels at home. Pastor Raul and his wife are very down-to-earth people who clearly love the Lord.

  • I love Gateway Church. It’s been my church home since 2011. The family atmosphere, simple heartfelt worship, good solid preaching, prayer ministry for salvation and healing, Vacation Bible School, monthly and weekly shared meals and fellowship. As a recent widow I have received practical support and help as needed.

  • Gateway has been a beautiful blessing. The moment I stepped in, I knew this place was different. The people are real, they care when they ask how you are, their smiles are genuine, they love each other, love spending time with you, and they love to worship The Lord in every way. I am home.

What We Believe at Gateway Community Church

We believe in God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the sovereignty of the one true God. God rules over all creation and over our lives.

We believe Jesus is the son of God. He came to earth, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin.  He lived a sinless life and yet died a sinner’s death. He was the once and for all sacrifice for the sin of humanity. Three days after his death he was physically resurrected from the dead. He ascended into heaven and was seated at the right hand of the Throne of God. He is our advocate and mediator on our behalf with God.

The Holy Spirit relates to us as our helper, advocate and is the one who convicts us of sin and therefore we can repent and be reconciled back to God. We believe in (a) the baptism of the Holy Spirit by which persons are immersed with power and equipped for service. (b) the gifts of the Holy Spirit are available today (i.e. tongues, prophecy, healing) and that they exist to benefit the church and to help strengthen the believer.

Genesis 1:1 / John 1:1 / John 3:16 / Acts 2:38 / 1 Corinthians 12:7

Death is not the end of life. Those whose faith is in Christ Jesus will spend eternity with him. (John 3:15-16 / 1 John 5:11)

Salvation is a gift from God by grace alone No one can come to the Father except they go through Jesus, his son who was born of a virgin and came to earth to show us the way for us to have life eternal.

If we confess with our mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved. Romans 10:9-10

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, Ephesians 2:8

Those whose faith is not in Christ Jesus will spend eternity separated from God (Matthew 25:46)

There are two sections of the Bible. The Old and the New Testament. Both were written by men who were inspired by God to do so. The scriptures in the Bible and are accepted as the final authority for faith, life, and all we do.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

We believe that mankind was created in the image and likeness of God. Genesis 1:26-28

Through Adam’s sin, humanity inherited a sinful, self-centered nature and perpetually grew separated from God. Jesus, through his death on the cross, gives us a way to come back to a right relationship with God and now embodies a pattern for reconciliation with one another. Romans 5:12 / John 3:3

Psalm 24: 3-6

3  Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord?
And who shall stand in his holy place?
4  He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not lift up his soul to what is false
and does not swear deceitfully.
5  He will receive blessing from the Lord
and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6  Such is the generation of those who seek him,
who seek the face of the God of Jacob.  Selah

Jesus said, “I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. We believe that God’s church is the primary reflection of God’s Kingdom to humanity. We believe the local church is comprised of born-again believers who can come together for mutual worship, instruction, and Christian service.
